HCA – Introduction to Practice is a program that helps people who have completed their Health Care programs in other countries, or other Provinces in Canada, to integrate their studies with knowledge about the HCA practices in BC. Students will be introduced to the healthcare team and the roles and functions of the HCA in British Columbia.
Graduates of the program can work in the following facilities:
Earn up to $26.50 per hour
Internationally Educated Health Professionals (IEHP), including Nurses from other countries OR Graduate of a HCA program within Canada, excluding British Columbia
30 Hours
$500.00 ($800 – $300 discount)
This program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. As such, the registrar did not review this program.
