This program is designed to prepare the student with the skills and knowledge that they will require to become a pharmacy assistant. Students will become familiar with pharmacology, pharmacy math, and pharmacy billing software. They will be introduced to the basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, and will be able to understand computer applications and keyboarding.
Graduates can work as pharmacy assistants in:
Earn up to $27.30 per hour
The applicant must be a mature student (19 years or older) or Grade 12.
Grade 10 Math or equivalent.
Must also successfully pass the English Language Assessment Test given by the College.
International Students will also need to have an IELTS Score of 5.5 bands or more OR pass the English Language Assessment Test given by the College.
Full time: 760 hours /28 weeks / 7 months
Part time: 760 hours / 47.5 weeks / 11 months
